Enterprise adoption of task-specific AI agents has gone from a fringe experiment to a mainstream deployment in the space of two years. THE INDIAN REALITY: A DEMOGRAPHIC DIVIDEND TURNS INTO A LIABILITY

For an Indian professional, Force B is a structural crisis.

India's middle-class growth story was built largely on labour arbitrage — the IT services, BPO, and KPO booms. Western companies outsourced to India because our labour was cheaper than theirs.

AI doesn't care about geography. An autonomous agent in San Francisco costs the same to run as one in Bengaluru. The arbitrage window is closing.

A large share of the Indian workforce is exposed to automation and role transformation over the next decade. India produces millions of graduates every year trained for entry-level knowledge tasks that AI agents can now execute in seconds. And unlike the Global North, India doesn't have the fiscal bandwidth or the social safety nets to cushion a displacement of this scale.
